Dense Packing a Cathedral Ceiling

Cellulose Insulation was used to dense pack the cathedral ceiling of this cottage that had no insulation in the attic.  We also found a cantilevered section that required dense packing as well.

Front Royal Wall Insulation - Dense Packing

This Front Royal VA home had a detached garage with living space above.  The garage was often too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter.  Our Sales Professional Pedro identified an opportunity to improve those issues by dense packing the walls with insulation.  Our production team removed sections of siding before making hole in the plywood frame of the walls and then used tubes to blow i and pack the insulation into the empty cavities of the wall frame.

Front Royal VA Attic Duct Management

Sometimes it can be helpful to improve the existing infrastructure in an attic to optimize energy efficiency for our clients.  in addition to air sealing and adding insulation, this Front Royal VA home had extra length in the HVAC duct system running through the attic.  Although it was well insulated, there was excessive distance for the conditioned air to travel, making it harder to deliver at the intended temperatures.  Our production crew shortened it in sections and created a platform and damning system to allow for walking and or storage in the attic near its opening.  A new attic hatch was installed which can zip closed when access to the attic is not needed.

Woodville VA HVAC Duct Insulation

Spray foam and Tru Soft cellulose insulation are a great combination of products to help improve the performance of an HVAC system in a home and can help to reduce energy costs.  Protecting the air travelling through an HVAC duct by eliminating the influence of attic temperatures can help keep the conditioned air travelling through at the temperature it is intended to be at to help heat or cool the rooms it is being sent to.  We removed the existing insulation in this attic before air sealing the space with Zyp Foam and then encapsulating the HVAC duct in Spray Foam.  Afterwards we blew in Tru Soft Cellulose insulation to add the extra layer of protection and insulation.

Fire Protection-White Post, VA

These before/after pictures are of Rcok Wool insulation being wrapped around a furnace flue pipe in the attic.  This rock wool is a flame resistant type insulation material that keeps the heat away from the fiberglass or cellulose insulation.  Thus, protecting the house from catching fire!!!
