Cellulose Insulation was used to dense pack the cathedral ceiling of this cottage that had no insulation in the attic.  We also found a cantilevered section that required dense packing as well.

Block walls are hollow and air penetrates through them. Since homes blow air out the top, and suck air in at the bottom, damp cold or hot outside air enters your home through the porous block and out of the open cores in the top course of block which are open to the basement. Finishing your basement with wood studs or fiberglass insulation can cause mold, odors, and rot. A concrete floor is also dense and porous, allowing water vapor to slowly pass through it, which typically evaporates into the basement.

We install our Wall Cap to stop air from leaking up and out of the block walls. Then Basement to Beautiful panels are installed. These panels are made from our SilverGlo foam insulation which feature graphite infused foam for a 24% increased insulation value over stadard EPS foam. Not only do the Basement to Beautiful panels insulate your walls, but they also have metal studs and electric chases to allow an electrician to wire outlets, switches, etc. On the entire basement floor ThermalDry Flooring is installed. It has one inch of SilverGlo foam with drain/dry channels and 1/4" inorganic Magnesium Oxide board on top. If plumbing or other leaks occur, drainage and drying channels help the water to eventually dry. The MgO top surface is a mineral board with no organic material so mold will not grow. The result of all of this is a more comfortable basement that is already insulated and framed for finishing.

Here are the top reasons spray foam insulation should be your number 1 choice:

Advantages of Spray Foam Insulation:

  • Provides both insulation and air sealing
  • Fills gaps and cracks

Crawl Space Insulation Experts

Do you need crawl space insulation installed or replaced? If so, you're in the right place! A damp crawl space with falling or sagging insulation usually means the space has a moisture problem. If that is the case our team of experts can provide a vapor barrier to keep moisture out of your crawl space. We can then replace your existing insulation with a better option such as rigid foam or spray foam insulation. If your crawl space is completely missing insulation then your home is most likely cold and drafty. This is because the environment in your crawl space will transfer to other parts of your home, which is why proper crawl space insulation is essential to keeping your home comfortable and your energy bills low.
