Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

This home was looking to make the top floor more comfortable AND lower their utiltiy bills....all with one solution!!!

This Arlington VA home needed an improvement in the attic to help better insulate the home and improve the comfort for the homeowners.  The existing insulation had gaps in between framing and the attic floor was not air sealed.  Our production team insulated below the existing attic decking and then built up walls around it to hold in the proper level of blown in cellulose insulation around it.  this helps to properly insulate the attic and also leaves a clean decking space for storage or access to walk around the space.  

An attic hatch is one of the easiest ways for air to move in and out of an attic space.  An entryway that requires an ability to open and close when needed, but should be sealed tight whenever it is not in use. Here you can see an insulated and zipper sealed attic hatch after it was installed on this previously uncovered opening.
