Dr. Energy Saver was called to give this 250-year-old house an energy efficiency upgrade with injection foam insulation in the walls and blown insulation in the attic. The old walls were insulated with injection foam insulation to make this home more comfortable and achieve lower energy bills. Injection foam insulation can be applied to any existing wall cavity to add R-Value and seal any air leaks. Injection foam is a good choice for preserving homes with historic or architectural value as the application process is less disruptive when compared to other insulation methods. The attic received a layer of blown cellulose insulation to bring its R-Value up to the U.S. Dept. of Energy's recommended value for the region.
