The ceiling was originally built with nails and needed to be secured with screws to handle more weight. Roberto also did an excellent job plastering and painting the ceiling so that there were absolutely no blemishes or spots. "Comfenergy did an amazing job helping us with the humidity issues with our house. It turns out that the previous owners of our home had all the insulation in our attic and basement removed due to pest issues and had not replaced the insulation. After doing the free consultation with Jaron, he explained the issues to us in depth that were causing humidity within our house and worked with us to figure out how we could address them without breaking the bank. He was so helpful and great to work with and our home is so much dryer! We ended up getting our attic encased and our attic entranced zipper sealed to prevent moisture and humidity from coming in. On top of that, Jaron recommended a couple of things we could do ourselves to help with the humidity including moving our dehumidifier to the out-take of our basement and better insulating the basement, which helped our budget. "The job for us was a big decision. Got three quotes and decided that Comfenergy had the skill set, materials, and scientific backing to make the decision to go with them easier. The bid I received was very detailed. Carl answered all of my questions and my changes to the SOW were agreed upon to remove the old 4-inches of insulation, seal all of the opening in the attic, encapsulate the can lights, install two bath fans, and an accompanying vent thru the roof, and spray in TruSoft Cellulose insulate to R49. Two weeks later, Robert and his additional crew of two called me 30 minutes out and they came prepared, organized, and with all of the materials listed in the bid. They were thorough and detail oriented the three days they were on the job. Robert spoke with me if there were any issues periodically throughout the day. First day they removed the old insulation, began sealing the deck of the attic, on the second day completed sealing of the deck and insulated half of the attic and installed the new bathroom fans and the accompanying insulated vent lines with installation of the vent in the roof professionally accomplished. On the third day they completed the insulation, and electrical connections for the fans. All work was completed in accordance with the bid and looked professionally completed. I was particularly impressed with how the crew worked with each other and completed tasks on their own."
