Leesburg VA Attic Insulation Upgrade

This Leesburg VA home was suffering from poor insulation that failed to provide adequate coverage. This was causing discomfort to the homeowner by leaving rooms too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. When our sales professional Eric visited the home, he provided a full home evaluation and found a variety of solutions for the homeowner to choose from. The homeowner ended up deciding they wanted to have all of the old insulation removed and install new high-quality TruSoft cellulose insulation.   TruSoft offers better coverage for a more even insulation job than the previous insulation and will last longer with less chance of rodents in the space due to being coated with a safe, animal deterrent.

Leesburg VA attic Service Decking Installation

Part of this Leesburg VA attic project included building a new service deck to allow access to the HVAC unit in the attic. This will help to keep the insulation contained and let the service technician freely walk to and from the HVAC unit.

Spray Foam Garage Ceiling-Ashburn, VA

This Ashburn, VA had rooms over the garage that were too hot in the summer.  This is can often be caused by fiberglass batts installed by the builder in the ceiling of the garage.  They fall away from the sub-flooring depleting all thermal insulating value.  This customer decided to remove the entire garage ceiling and use closed cell spray foam to fix the problem.

Ashburn VA Attic Wall Panel Insulation

This home in Ashburn VA had several issues that the homeowner wanted to address, one of which was to make the upper level loft of the home more comfortable year round.  Our Home Performance Sales Pro Eric determined that this could be done by improving the insulation in the attic.  While the attic already had some blown in cellulose insulation covering the attic floor, the walls of the attic were poorly treated and were allowing cold temperatures and air to move into the space.  Eric suggested adding another 6 inches of insulation and to have Silver Glo panels installed on the walls of the attic.  The panels were then air sealed with Zyp Foam to properly protect the space from unwanted air flow.
