These wood panels will be removed to expose the open space inside of the cantilever.
The cantilever hangs out further than the foundation of the home but is hollow inside.

Work In Progress
Here, our production team is installing the spray foam to seal up the rim joist and space inside of the cantilever.
Once sprayed in, the foam is allowed to settle and expand before we replace the cover and close it all back up.
Each space filled with spray foam was previously open to let outdoor air come in.
Sealed up and ready to insulate.
Filling in the rim joist and letting the foam settle first. Then filling the rest of the cavity to fill up the cantilever.
