The beautiful home in Clifton, Virginia is one of the many homes in which we air sealed and insulated the attic and crawl spaces. This home has solar panels so it losing energy to a poor insulation job is extra sad!!!
Here is one of our crew members heading up to assess the damage!
Here you see the old insulation in the crawlspace which matches what we find in the attic. You can also catch a glimpse of some spray foam here which is part of what we will be installing to air seal this home.
The orange product displayed in this photo is ZypFoam which is another type insulation we use to air seal off any and all potential points of leakage.
Next we will bring in the blow-in cellulose insulation. The type we use is called TruSoft and it will be the primary thermal barrier. What you can see here is the tube carrying the insulation from the truck to the attic.
Here is what the TruSoft blow-in cellulose insulation looks like before it is blown in!
Here is what the TruSoft looks like all blown-in!
This is simply another angle of what the TruSoft looks like once inside!
Here is one of our crew members blowing in the insulation in a crawl space.
