Challenge

This Leesburg, VA homeonwer had removed all of the drywall on the ceiling of the garage before we showed up to evaluate what was needed to make the rooms above the garage more comfortable. It's too bad, because they didn't need to do this and it increased the expense of the job tremendously.

Solution

The homeowner was insistant on using spray foam because he saw it on TV. So, who are we to argue? The following pictures are a few of the results from this closed cell spray foam job.

Just a series of the spray foam after completion.

Closed cell spray foam creates a vapor barrier at a mere 1" and 3" of thickness is all you'll really ever need. The result is an air tight, R19 value.
