Spray Foam Insulation Case Studies: Drafty Home-Winchester, VA

Challenge

This Winchester, VA homeowner was dealing with intense winter drafts.  They couldn't figure out what to do. Replace windows?  Replace doors?  What to do?

Solution

Scott Beers of Comfenergy performed a full comfort evaluation and discovered that the walk-up attic held the answers to their questions.  This attic was actually made into a pseudo living space, and it was VERY leaky.  The best way to solve it was to completely encapsulate the attic using closed cell spray foam.  Now the house has less drafts, and the attic above is nice and comfy!
