This Reston, VA homeowner was looking for ways to make their home more energy efficient year round.

This was the existing insulation. Only about 4-6" deep, and was blown fiberglass. Fiberglass does not help to hold in heat during the winter and is very susceptible to "wind washing".

Comfenergy production crew member installing plywood "dams" around the attic access hatch to keep insulation from falling out when opened.

New soffit baffles will allow proper attic ventilation and keep the newly blown TruSoft cellulose in its place.

Comfenergy air sealed around possibly air leakage points such as this bathroom exhaust fan housing.

Newly installed TruSoft cellulose will help to provide a great thermal barrier for this Reston, VA homeowner.
