Leesburg split level home. Split level homes have a tremendous amount of air leakage due to the way they are constructed.

The soffits above these kitchen cabinets were not air sealed and allow freeing cold air into the cabinets below. Thus, making the plates and glasses very COLD!

This is a view of the soffits above the cabinets from the attic. Notice the empty cavity and the metal duct for the kitchen exhaust fan. Both allowing cold air into the cabinets and literally freeze whatever is in them.

4" thick SilverGlo foam boards being used to air seal the cold air in the attic from entering the cabinets. (One part foam net yet used)

SilverGlo 4" thick foam boards and the one part foam spray used to seal of cold air from the kitchen cabinets.

The final product. TruSot cellulose used to cover everything we dd after air sealing. An additional 10" of TruSoft was added to provide a better insulation value. Now the kitchen and cabinets are warm!
