Insulation Services Case Studies: Insulation Install at Fireman's Field in Purcellville, VA

Challenge

The Town of Purcellville and Play to Win Sports management had Comfenergy perform an evaluation of the press box, concessions, and bathrooms to make sure it was ready for the 2018 season. Comfenergy found a ton of air leakage in the press box and the bathrooms. Specifically the women's bathroom had signs of mildew on the ceiling and walls created by air leakage through the rim joists.

Solution

Comfenergy removed the mildewed drywall and disposed of it properly. Then we air sealed and insulated these affected areas to make sure the mildew wouldn't come back this year. A new bath fan was installed and vented to the outside of the building. Finally (not shown) the drywall was replaced and painted to match. Fireman's Field is now ready for baseball, and other summer events!!!
