Windows & Doors Case Studies: Whole House Window Replacement - Round Hill, VA

Challenge

This Round Hill, VA homeowner engaged us to improve the energy efficiency of his country home.  We first addressed his attic insulation by conditioning his attic space and his knee wall crawl spaces on the second floor.  Then we conditioned a formerly ventilated crawl space.  The last issue that required attention was a set of windows that had been installed during the 1970's.  Wood, single pane and in many cases not funtioning properly, we suggested a whole house change of windows.

Solution

We installed top of the line sunrise double paned, low E, Argon filled insulated vinyl replament windows.  The installation also had us address his exterior window trim by wrapping these assemblies with aluminum metal wrap.
