Comfenergy earns the Loudoun County Chamber's 2018 Superior Service Business of the Year Award

Comfenergy won the Superior Service Business Award this year from the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. It was a beautiful award ceremony and we were all thrilled and honored. Being in the home performance industry, customer service is extremely important to us. We take steps to do what is reasonable, and sometimes unreasonable to meet or exceed customer expectations.

This starts with setting those expectations early in the sales timeline. When a customer sets up a free in home comfort and energy evaluation, they have an interaction with us at least 5 times before the evaluator knocks on their door. The date and time is set for the evaluation and they receive an automatic email confirmation within the hour. This email also has a link to a video showing what we'll be doing in their home. Then, a customer welcome package is mailed to the homeowner with a Home Comfort Science Book, a profile and head shot of the person coming to perform the evaluation, a short questionaire, and a brochure of our awards. The evaluator makes a pre-call at least 2 days prior to the appointment and the day of when heading their way. This interaction continues even after the work has been done with customer review and satisfaction forms. Finally, every customer having work done by Comfenergy receives certificates to verify the projects performed, which is valuable if the home is ever sold.

Good customer service means helping customers efficiently and in a friendly manner. It’s essential to be able to handle issues for our customers and do our best to ensure they are satisfied. Providing good service is one of the most important things that set our business apart from others in  our industry. 

One of our owners, Justin Dobson, said in his award acceptance speech: 

"...Your customers demand service from you, and like Richard Branson said, Take care of your team and they will take care of your customers. I have to thank our team. We have the greatest people ever - from team members to family members, what you guys do everyday makes me love coming to work. We've had a record year at Comfenergy but it's also been a challenging year. Once you have a team, you build a family, put the structure together and the guildlines to allow and encourage them to provide good service to your customers."
