Challenge

This Front Royal, VA homeowner had an uninsulated second floor cathedral ceiling and a bump out cantilever that was also uninsulated.

Solution

We chose to dense pack these areas with cellulose in order to provide a thermal barrier with limited disruption inside the house.

Tough work due to how high the work was off ground level.

Setting up the work platform.

Drilling the fascia board with holes to dense pack the cathedral ceiling.

Packing the ceiling. Air and mechanical compression are combined to create a densely packed thermal barrier.
